July 12th – July 21st– No maintenance projects going on at this point. Waiting to hear update from Forrest service on the camp brush clearing. Will update when there’s more information available.

July 22nd – 28th- No maintenance projects going on this week or coming weekend. A small water leak has formed by the RV dump in the middle of the road and will be addressed within the next week or so. The camp brush clearing has been underway on the back acreage of camp and the progress looks amazing. Thank you Byron for the updates and pictures. I will post pictures so the body can see the progress.

July 29th- Aug 4th 2024- Nothing pressing going on this week and coming weekend. The back 20 acres has been mulched and we will have the camp cabin area(s) taken care of after Labor Day weekend. A much appreciated thanks to the forest service and the contractors involved for helping us make camp more manageable & safe. I will be up there this weekend repairing the water leak by the RV dump and examining the progress done on the back 20 acres.

Aug 6th- Aug 11th 2024- The water leak repair has been postponed until after the forest service has completed the cleanup of the cabin side of camp due to possibly more issues being found when the cleaning is completed. This will be after Labor Day weekend so camp will be done for the most part for the season. I Dominik will be heading up the 9th to light the stoves and water heaters in the dining hall for the group coming in this weekend. The back 20 acres looks amazing. A plan to pile up and burn the leftover debris this winter is being made with the recommendations from the forest service.

Aug 12th-Aug 18th 2024- There are no projects going on this week and coming weekend. We are getting to the wind down point of camp. Remember Labor Day weekend will be camp cleanup and the pre-shutdown of camp so all help is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Aug 19th- Aug 26th 2024– There are no projects this week. The last rental group is done for the year. The Amsey will be closed from after Labor Day weekend until Water turn on so the kitchen can be completed. Weekends to help with that will be provided as schedules are figured out. We could use help Labor Day weekend getting camp closed up for the season. Please plan to come help us if possible. The more help the better . Water turn off and blow out will be September 27th-29th 2024 so if you have a cabin or would like to help please plan to be there. Attached below is the To Do list for Labor Day weekend.

Sept 3Sept 8th 2024 A big thank you to everyone who helped close up camp this Labor Day Weekend. Camp looks great!!!!! Water turn off and blowout will be the next thing coming up the 27th- 29th of September. If you have a cabin with water plumbed into it please plan to be there so your cabin will get blown out or the valve near your cabin will be isolated and lines blown out to that point.

Sept 20th- Sept 27th 2024- The forestry people will be starting to clear the brush and dead/diseased trees from the cabin area of camp this coming Monday the 23rd of September. They will be using the Amsey for housing during this time. Water blowout for camp is scheduled for the 28th & 29th of September. Plan on being there during that weekend if you have a cabin at camp or if you want to help.

Sept 30th- Oct 6th 2024 – Camp water blowout went very well. We have some damaged lines from the brush clearing but it was expected to have some issues with the lines throughout camp. A huge thank you to all those who came to camp to help with the finish of the camp shutdown. The camp brush clearing is going extremely well and the crew is working hard. They will be finishing up soon. We are looking into what native plants we can get going once cleanup is done and will get a list posted to the website for those that want to plant around their cabins or just donate to help get camp in the direction we need to go. We will also be looking at getting a plan to get irrigation lines ran throughout camp so access to irrigation is available and we aren’t using the well water for keeping camp green to aid in fire protection. Please reach out with any comments or concerns and if you’d like to donate to these causes it would be greatly appreciated.
